I was brought in at an early stage of the acquisition process to take a lead on the Operational and HR due diligence and integration efforts for a cross-border acquisition, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with local regulations in 15 US states.
Key accomplishments:
- Conducted comprehensive operational alignment review to identify synergies and optimise integration strategies.
- Handled US HR compliance, research and implementation, working closely with employment lawyers, ensuring adherence to local employment laws and regulations for over 15 US states.
- Developed and executed a 100-day integration plan, clearly defining responsibilities and timelines for shared group departments.
- Facilitated effective communication and alignment among senior leadership, incoming personnel, and internal centers of excellence.
- Spearheaded HR and operational integration post-acquisition, ensuring alignment with existing UK & US teams.
- Collaborated with each P&L owner to define strategic objectives for the new US business, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Partnered with internal centers of excellence (Finance, Marketing, Commercial, HR, Security & Compliance, Enterprise IT, Content) to define tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines for a successful integration.
